* FEBRUARY 26TH 2019 - INDIE ORCHESTRA IV w/ROKY ERICKSON
I'm honored to be presenting the 4th annual Indie Orchestra Night with my coconspirator, Brent Baldwin and his choral group, Panoramic Voices. It's this Sunday March 3rd (4:30 pm) at Millennium Youth Complex. Click on the poster below for tickets. AND Austin 360 couldn't have said it better...

"Wonder what your favorite Austin band would sound like with a string section? For the fourth year in a row, composer Nathan Felix and choral ensemble Panoramic Voices are arranging the songs of popular local artists for orchestra and choir. This year’s event features psych-rock legend Roky Erickson, pop savant Mobley, powerhouse rockers Sweet Spirit and electropop outfit Night Glitter. A portion of proceeds from the event will go to the Health Alliance for Austin Musicians." — Deborah Sengupta Stith

* DECEMBER 4TH 2018 - MOTION CAPTURE
This was a very exciting project I had to keep under the wraps but now that the live premiere is out of the way, I wanted to share the video for a music collaboration I did up in Austin with the Motion Capture and Dance departments up in Austin at UT. It was my first time collaborating with both Mocap and dance and I'm really excited about the outcome. Check the video when you get a chance. Props to Deepak Chetty for the amazing directing and Dorothy O'Shea Overbay on the choreography.

* SUNDAY OCTOBER 28TH - THE WAR BRIDE
I am thrilled the time has finally come to premiere my headphone opera titled, THE WAR BRIDE.  This is the story of my late grandmother, Jean Groundsell, who grew up as a poor teenage British girl living in Chichester when WWII broke out in England. Follow her brave journey as she boards the S.S. Saturnia and ventures to America in 1945. The concert is November 10th at Hemisfair Park during Luminaria Festival.  Two performances run at 7:30 and 8:30.  See map just below for exact location of THE WAR BRIDE in Hemisfair Park.

* WEDNESDAY OCTOBER 10TH - DENMARK & YACHTING & RENEGADE
OK, so I have to admit that I really dig that the Current called me a "Renegade" composer.  That just has a ring to it and I'd never give myself a nickname. I also really dig the way that the visual component for Yachting with the Kennedy's came out.  I mean those gold toilets look siiiick!  Here I am in Denmark hanging with such an amazing array of talented composers and feeling good about the immersive experience that came out of the performance last Saturday.  If you came, I hope you took something home with you.  And if you didn't...well...tough luck!  But you can read the Currents preview HERE.  And click on the photo below to see some of the action. After Denmark I have concerts coming up in Orlando and in San Antonio.  Here they are... (for addresses of performances go to my TOUR page

October 20: Immerse Festival in Orlando - new choral work titled Orlando Unite
October 27: Music in the Park in San Antonio - new works for percussion on bamboo, megaphone choir and more 6 sided keboard
November 10: Luminaria Festival in San Antonio - Premiere of my Headphone Opera

* TUESDAY SEPTEMBER 4TH - YACHTING WITH THE KENNEDYS at SAMA
After a long summer, I'm back and trying out a new concept of an immersive experience at the San Antonio Museum of Art (SAMA) on Saturday October 6th from 3pm - 5pm.

The basis of Yachting with the Kennedy’s is creating this surrealistic world by placing musicians, performers and costumed characters in various gallery spaces in the museum, where attendees can explore and engage. Those who dare enter this world will also be encouraged to participate in a scavenger hunt in which discovering clues can activate secret performances.

The finale will be new works I've composed on a 1970’s vintage 6-sided keyboard. This unique vintage keyboard has six key stations with different outputs which will allow me to create a surround sound experience in the Great Hall at SAMA. Inspired by director, Luis Buñuel’s Le Fantôme de la liberté, each of the six pianists will use a gold toilet as their piano bench and each will be dressed in full regalia.
