Ribas-Dominicci LIVE at Texas Public Radio

* SUNDAY OCTOBER 23RD - PREMIERE NOV 4TH AT TPR

This is going to be special. Join me for a new 60 minute, 3-act, chamber opera written to premiere live at the Carlos Alvarez theater at Texas Public Radio in San Antonio on November 4th 2022. It's a story about Fernando Luis Ribas-Dominicci, a Major and pilot in the United States Air-force as told by his living wife Blanca Berrain. Blanca worked with composer Nathan Felix in developing the libretto by recounting stories of Fernando's early years growing up in Puerto Rico, how the two fell in love, details leading up to Operation El Dorado Canyon and the aftermath of losing her husband. Next up is my new opera No. 5 about fashion designer Coco Chanel. Tickets are on sale for our October 1st premiere at Timucua Arts Foundation as part of Hispanic Heritage Month. It stars soprano, Molly Ann Anderson as Chanel (young), Claire Hodge as Chanel (older), Jacob Pence (Boy Capel) and mezzo's Sarah Purser and Madison Marie McIntosh. It'll be exciting to see friends and the Orlando community!

Traitor | Savior

* WEDNESDAY JULY 20 - TRAITOR | SAVIOR

We are inching closer to the premiere of my opera La Malinche - Traitor | Savior. Today we marked, blocked and filmed at the Albuquerque Museum. This cast has really put in the work and it's going to be a treat for those that get to witness one of our two performances. We premiere the work this Thursday July 21st (6:30pm) & on Sunday (1pm). I'm feeling very blessed!!!

I cannot wait for rehearsals this summer for the premiere of a new opera I was commissioned to write and direct for the Albuquerque Museum of Art about La Malinche. I'm working with an all-star cast featuring Lucianna Astorga (La Malinche), Madison Marie McIntosh (Hernan Cortes) and more! La Malinche: Traitor | Savior will premiere on July 21st (6:30pm) and a matinee will follow on July 24th (1pm). Both performances at the ABQ Museum are free and open to the public! Also today is my bday 💝

I had a wonderful time in Austin premiering my 3rd symphony, Santa-Almada, at KMFA. It was a shared experience with so many friends, family and fans. Next up for me is a lot of composing and then off to Spokane for Operation Opera Festival and then to Queens NY to produce one of my immersive operas at the International Queens Children's Festival. KMFA Symphony #3

* THURSDAY APRIL 14TH - SYMPHONY #3 BDAY CONCERT

It is with great pleasure that I announce KMFA will present my 3rd symphony, Santa-Almada, on May 15th in Austin as part of their OFFBEAT Series. Inversion Ensemble will premiere Santa-Almada which is my most personal work to date (read more about it in the link). I'm excited to share this in the city I grew up in and with my Austin family. In addition, I'll be celebrating my birthday in tandem with this performance so you don't want to miss that, do you?! Tickets are now available!

Harlem Girl

* MONDAY JANUARY 10TH 2022 - HARLEM GIRL

I wanted to share a new short composition, Harlem Girl, was a finalist for the Sparks & Wiry Cries songSLAM competition in NYC. Originally it was going to be a 'live' performance but due to the ongoing pandemic it turned virtual so we recorded our songs. I'm really proud of of this new composition & plan to record it in the studio with strings and choir! Stay tuned...

Happy New Year - 2022

* MONDAY JANUARY 3RD - HAPPY NEW YEAR

I've been laying low since Orlando. Resting and reloading for 2022. Music has provided opportunities for me to travel and foster new friendships and for that I'm most thankful. Having my family join me in Orlando made this opera about my grandmother that much more special.
